Account & Getting Started
How do I create an account?
You can create an account using your email address or by signing in with Google or Apple. Download the Planoree app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit our website and click "Get Started".
Can I change my email address?
Yes, go to your Profile page and update your email address. You will receive a confirmation email to verify the change before it takes effect.
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email address, and we will send you a password reset link. The link expires after 1 hour.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Profile > Settings and select "Delete Account". This will permanently remove your account, events you own, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
Is Planoree available on both iOS and Android?
Yes, Planoree is available as a native app on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). You can also access most features through our website at planoree.app.
Events
How do I create an event?
Sign in to your account, go to the Events page, and click "Create Event". Fill in the event details including title, description, type, and whether it should be public or private.
What types of events can I create?
Planoree supports weddings, birthdays, corporate events, conferences, and other custom events. Each event type comes with tailored features and templates.
Can I have multiple hosts for an event?
Yes, you can add co-hosts to your event. Co-hosts can manage guests, moderate content, and help run the event. Go to your event Settings to invite co-hosts.
What are subevents?
Subevents are individual activities within your main event. For example, a wedding might have subevents like "Ceremony", "Cocktail Hour", and "Reception". Each subevent has its own time, location, and guest list.
Can I make my event public?
Yes, public events can be discovered by anyone. Private events require an invite code or direct invitation to join. You can toggle this in your event settings.
How do I edit or delete an event?
Go to your event and click Settings. You can edit all event details or delete the event entirely. Deleting an event removes all associated data including photos, messages, and guest lists.
Invitations & RSVP
How do I invite guests?
Open your event and go to the Guests tab. You can invite guests by email or share your event invite code. Guests with the code can join directly from the app or website.
How does the invite code work?
Each event has a unique invite code. Share this code with your guests, and they can enter it on the Join page to access your event. You can regenerate the code in event settings if needed.
Can guests RSVP to individual subevents?
Yes, guests can RSVP to each subevent separately. This helps you plan capacity for different parts of your event, like a ceremony vs. reception.
How do guests respond to invitations?
Guests receive an email with a unique RSVP link. They can accept, decline, or mark "maybe" for the event and each subevent. They can also RSVP through the app using the invite code.
Can I see who has responded?
Yes, the Guests tab shows the RSVP status of all invited guests. You can filter by status (accepted, declined, maybe, pending) to get a clear picture of attendance.
Can I resend an invitation?
Yes, you can resend invitation emails from the Guests tab. Look for the resend option next to each guest who has not yet responded.
Gallery & Photos
Can guests upload photos?
Yes! All invited guests can upload photos to the shared gallery. Photos are visible to all event participants and can be downloaded.
What photo formats are supported?
We support JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC formats. Photos are automatically optimized and thumbnails are generated for fast loading.
Is there a limit on the number of photos?
The Free plan allows up to 50 photos per event. The Starter plan supports 500 photos, and the Premium plan offers unlimited photo uploads.
Can I download all photos at once?
Yes, event hosts can download the entire gallery as a ZIP file from the Gallery page. Individual photos can also be downloaded by any participant.
Can I delete photos uploaded by guests?
Event hosts and co-hosts can delete any photo in the gallery. Guests can only delete their own photos.
Subscription & Billing
What subscription plans are available?
We offer three plans: Free (1 event, 10 guests, 50 photos), Starter ($9.99/month for 5 events, 50 guests each, 500 photos), and Premium ($19.99/month for unlimited events, guests, and photos).
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to the Subscription page in your account. Select the plan you want and complete the purchase through the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), or our website.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage your subscription through the app store where you purchased it (App Store or Google Play). For web subscriptions, go to the Subscription page. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.
Will I lose my data if I downgrade?
No, your data is preserved when you downgrade. However, you will not be able to create new events or invite new guests beyond the limits of your new plan until existing items are removed.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are handled according to the respective app store policies (Apple App Store or Google Play). For web purchases, contact our support team within 14 days of purchase for a refund.
Technical & Troubleshooting
Is my data secure?
Yes, we take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use Supabase for secure database and authentication with Row Level Security policies on all tables.
Why am I not receiving notification emails?
Check your spam or junk folder. Make sure the email address on your account is correct. You can also check your notification preferences in your Profile settings.
The app is running slowly. What can I do?
Try closing and reopening the app. Ensure you are on a stable internet connection. If the issue persists, try clearing the app cache or reinstalling. Contact support if problems continue.
Can I use Planoree offline?
Some features work offline, such as viewing previously loaded event details and photos. However, creating events, sending messages, and uploading photos require an internet connection.
Which browsers are supported?
The Planoree website works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version for the best experience.
How do I report a bug?
Use the Contact page to report bugs. Select "Bug Report" as the category and include details about what happened, what you expected, and your device/browser information. Screenshots are helpful.
